Kanel Architecture: studio website in Bastia

Context Lelia Silvagnoli, a state-qualified architect (DE · HMONP), runs the KANEL Architecture studio in Bastia, Corsica. Her positioning: preserve what exists and adapt it to contemporary uses, from first sketch to construction site. She needed a website that lived up to that standard, one that presents the studio and brings in qualified enquiries for renovation, extension and planning-permission projects across Corsica. Goals • Give the studio a warm online identity, far from generic templates • Build trust from the first visit: registration with the French Order of Architects, DE · HMONP degree, MAF insurance, languages spoken (FR · EN · IT), reply within one business day • Turn visitors into structured contact requests • Be visible locally (Bastia, Haute-Corse) The work • A custom visual identity applied to every page: cream background, terracotta accent, elegant type for headings and highly readable body text • A static site generated with Astro: pages are prepared in advance, which makes it fast, secure and free of any database to maintain • A home page designed to turn visits into enquiries: trust banner, selected projects, services, a five-step process, a final call to action • A filterable Projects page (renovation, new build, studies & competitions) with a page per project • A Services page with detailed offers, indicative prices and an FAQ usable with a keyboard as well as a screen reader • A contact form that qualifies each request (project type, town, indicative budget, desired timeline), with GDPR consent and spam protection (invisible honeypot field, limited number of submissions) • Optimised images, polished previews when shared on social networks (Open Graph), bilingual FR/EN section subtitles, a custom 404 error page and easier keyboard navigation • Legal notice, privacy policy and deployment with the host o2switch Outcome A light, fast website that clearly presents the studio’s offer, reassures on professional guarantees and guides visitors towards a structured contact request. With no heavy content management system (CMS) or database, it is simple to host and to evolve. The studio’s 3D portfolio is linked from the site.
