Leizup: MVP of a friendship meetup platform

Context Leizup is a free platform for making friends: members host or join cultural, sports, festive, charity or discovery outings to widen their circle of friends close to home. Before investing in a full product, the concept had to be validated with real users: that is the job of an MVP (minimum viable product), a first version with only the essentials. The work Web-Duarte designed and built this MVP, the functional foundation of the product: • Member sign-up and login, profile with photo • Creating an outing in a few minutes: title, activity type, date, place and number of spots • A list of upcoming outings, searchable by city • Participation criteria set by the organizer: age and gender of the people who can ask to join • Join requests accepted or declined by the organizer, with a participants tab • Messaging between participants to organize the outing: times, meeting point Outcome Leizup is now available on the web, iOS and Android, with more than 40,000 outings completed.
